At the end of February, before life changed for everyone where big public events are concerned, I went to the preview screening of The Faceless Ones at BFI Southbank. I’m not unfamiliar with the story, having compiled accompanying text for its telesnaps many years ago, but watching the new animation on the big screen felt like experiencing it for the first time.
