Petition to save the wills
On 15 December 2023 the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) published a consultation paper in which the proposal was made to digitise the post-1858 wills collections for England and Wales and to destroy the originals after 25 years. This proposed destruction has been met with great concern by the genealogy community and a petition has been started.
