We love...
We love January
This month is a little like the ugly duckling: difficult to love. It may not have feathers, all stubby and brown, but people are definitely desperate to see the end of January. “Get out, get out, get out of town” they holler, while huddling down to stay out of the biting winds and freezing drizzle. But it is not all bad. Our gardens are offering up little gems of cheer to get us through the post-Christmas, pre-spring slump. Let nobody say that we at Gardeners’ World Magazine are reluctant to shake every cloud in search of the silver lining
The Full Monty
At the start of a new year, Monty reflects on what a decade of TV stardom has meant for Longmeadow and why keeping it real is so important

Rising damp
With climate change becoming apparent through increased rainfall and extremes of weather, Carol Klein explores ways to ensure our gardens cope with wetter conditions
Where do I start?
For beginner gardeners, getting to grips with the fundamentals can seem daunting. But in this 12-part exclusive series, Alan Titchmarsh is sharing his wisdom to help you master the skills that really matter. This month, he explains how to turn your plant waste into gardener’s gold with ideas on composting to suit every garden. You’ll soon be creating rich compost to boost your borders and enrich your veg plot
