Theatre goers hitting the Galway Fringe should make a point of grabbing a ticket for Men At Play, a hilarious but hard-hitting look at male identity.
Written and directed by Brian Burns, and performed by Kieran McBride and Ruairí Leneghan, the show, which asks ‘is masculinity one big performance?’ follows a gay man with an alter ego and a straight man with issues through various stages in their lives – from childhood to fatherhood, as they perform the male identities assigned to them, which don’t always reflect who they are.
