This edition is all about having fun and creating amazing effects with
ink. We might have classed these as backgrounds which may sound a little downgrading, but often these techniques form the basis of a crafty project. When you look at a crafty masterpiece you’ll notice it is all about the detail and the following techniques can transform a flat, boring base into a fabulous one upon which to build more brilliant artwork! The wonderful thing about these techniques too is that no two prints will ever be the same!

Have you ever wanted to just play around, much like you probably
did when you were younger with ink, making a mess but having fun,
well this is the perfect opportunity!

The techniques are demonstrated on paper but can easily be transferred to other surfaces. Look out for further inspiration throughout the magazine.

If you are a crafter you’re likely to have most of the items such as inks
already – many of the other materials can be found around the home.
