Traditional Catalan country architecture – including stone walls, vaulted ceilings and beams – are set off by modern furnishings and natural fabrics at Mas Ferrer in Spain’s Pla de l’Estany
Sisters Esther and María Fábrega love to return to Catalonia and Mas Ferrer – the house in Pla de l’Estany where they grew up. Not only is the peaceful farmstead near Girona full of happy memories, but it also helped inspire their artisan jewellery brand Cashfana, a favourite with Queen Letizia of Spain and a host of fashion influencers.
“This is where we first experienced the beauty of forests and flowers and where our interest in the native fauna was awakened,” Esther tells us. “It is from magical places like this that most of the ideas for our collections have come.”
