TUTANKHAMUN THE BOY KING
TOMB RAIDERS: Unlike most other tombs in Ancient Egypt, Tutankhamun’s (who died at age 18) was almost untouched by grave robbers. This seal to his fifth shrine had not been broken in over 3,200 years

Perhaps the greatest discovery in history, the unearthing of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb took place on 4 November 1922. British archaeologist Howard Carter, funded by amateur Egyptologist Lord Carnarvon, is credited with this incredible find. But were it not for a little luck, the elaborate burial site of the boy king may never have been found at all.
