One of the new features in iOS 15 is a user account in the Maps app. This is designed to make it easier to configure most of the settings by putting them all in one place. Many features and settings are now customised through your account instead of being spread over the Maps app and Maps in the Settings app.

Your Maps user account enables access to four things in the app: Favourites, Guides, Reports and Preferences. Although it is still possible to get to some of these things through other routes in the app, putting every one in your account makes it one central location where you can access everything. Here we take a close look at the account feature in Maps.
