The Dark Side magazine has just turned 30. In fact October 1990 saw the first issue arriving in UK newsagents at a very reasonably priced £1.75. It might cost you a tad more than that to pick up that same first edition these days, but that’s inflation for you. Meanwhile, however, it will still only cost you £3.99 to buy issue 212 of the mag, which should be available from the same fine retailer who flogged you this issue of Infinity.
We’ve returned to the 1980s for our cover feature this time round, a brilliant piece remembering the 1985 fear favourite Fright Night, with William Ragsdale as the teenager who discovers his cool new neighbour Chris Sarandon is actually a vampire, and Roddy McDowall as the TV horror host who is reluctantly drawn into dealing with the real-life undead.
