Laigueglia isatown witha traditional, laid-back feel

Ona curve of land between the larger towns of Alassio and Andora on the Ligurian Riviera is the sailor town of Laigueglia, one of the most beautiful towns in Liguria, with an authentic charm and a laid-back atmosphere. By appearance, it is postcard-perfect and could easily rival the beauty of nearby Cinque Terre. Colourful houses creep from the sea into the hills, and the town centre is punctuated by the bell towers of San Matteo, Saint Matthew’s Church. It is a seaside resort; yet, to this day, this small community has maintained an authentic fishing village atmosphere that is lacking in many places elsewhere along the coast in Italy.
