Debian embraces DuckDuckGo
The distro’s switch from Google as its default search engine causes controversy over privacy concerns.

sually when a distro announces that it’s ditching Google for another default search engine, privacy campaigners – and anyone concerned about how their online activity is tracked and shared – would be pleased. However, Debian has managed to provoke more concern after it announced it was switching from Google because of the alternative search engine it’s chosen: DuckDuckGo.
