Introducing macOS Sonoma
Apple’s been working very hard on macOS 14, but what does have in store for us?
Sonoma, named after a city in California’s wine-making region, isn’t a radical overhaul of macOS. Instead, it brings new features to the Finder and existing apps. There are new reactions in video chats that can be triggered with a gesture, you can share Safari passwords and passkeys with a family group and, for privacy, Safari locks Private Browsing windows when you’re not using them, and prevents known trackers from loading and removes URL trackers. You can also websites in Safari to the Dock. When opened from there they look more app-like, with a simplified toolbar. But what else is new? Let’s take a look…
