Can Spotlight search app preference files?

How to disable a kernel extension on my M4 iMac?
> Start your Mac up in recovery, go through to Options and open Startup Security Utility from the Utilities menu. Untick the box allowing third-party extensions and set it to Full Security.
When you restart, all third-party kernel extensions will be permanently disabled and can be uninstalled using their apps.
