NEW BMW: R1250GS
The GS has dominated the adventure bike class it invented for nearly forty
years now, and this new 2019 version looks set to continue the trend. It’s more powerful, more efficient and technologically superior to all versions that have come before. As the name suggests, the R1250GS has got a brand new engine and that’s where most of the changes can be found, ranging from the simple to the mind-bogglingly complex. For a start the engine has grown by 84cc to 1254cc, having increased slightly more in stroke than bore. The result is a 9% boost in power (up to 134bhp) and a 14% boost in torque (to 92ftlb) making it the most powerful production boxer BMW have ever produced.
