NEW DUCATI SUPERSPORT: THE REAL DEAL
What exactly is Ducati’s new £11,495 SuperSport all about? Is it a bsportsbike, a sports tourer, or something in between? You’d be forgiven for being a bit confused because on first glance it’s a bit of a mash-up. The 113bhp liquidcooled 937cc V-twin is a rejigged Hypermotard 939 motor, it has a Monster-based frame and Panigale inspired bodywork. You can’t really look to its direct rivals to see where it fits in, either, because it hasn’t really got any. Well, here’s the simple answer: it’s every inch the spiritual successor to the old air-cooled SS models. It’s fast, unthreatening, easy to manage, sensational through the bends and can be used as an everyday machine.
