There are a couple of full-on modified Minis in this issue. Keith Masterton's Pick-up is certainly not the shy and retiring type and Mark Bibb's bodykitted mentalist would stand out in any crowd. They are both amazing feats of engineering and it's fantastic that such skills are evident in the worldwide Mini scene. They are both powered by non A-series engines which means that the guys that built them had to put in extra work to mate modern Honda technology to traditional Mini parts. As well as the aforementioned creations we have a feature on a pristine 1960 Mk1 which hasn't even covered 3000 miles in its lifetime. Our writer Kay described it as a "time-warp Mini." Planning a wedding is a special time for most engaged couples, although Paul Annetts pretty much left fiancée Vicky to it while he went off to build up her dream Mini convertible, in secret, as a wedding present. They made it up the aisle and the Mini featured in their big day and was even used as their honeymoon transport. The Mini show season is still in full swing and we have plenty of photos for you from Mini in the Park, Minis on the Rec', H4H Mini Cruise and a Mini gathering at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb.
