For many local residents, Kilmallie Singers’ annual carol concert heralds the start of Christmas. This year, the concert is on Saturday at 7.30pm in Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church.
Making sure they will be in fine voice for the occasion, the singers held a full rehearsal last week in Caol, with a repeat this evening. The choir’s performance will combine Christmas carols and songs, well known and less familiar, with audience participation and the usual children’s item, which is always a magical moment.
This year Kilmallie Singers are delighted to be able to include two carols written by recent finalist in BBC Radio Three’s annual carol competition – Diana Hamilton and Michael Silk. In appreciation of being granted permission by the composers to perform these works, Kilmallie Singers will make a donation to Lochaber Sensory Care.
