Lochaber MSP Ian Blackford heard last week in Westminster from Helen Aronson, who survived the Holocaust, at the launch of Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) 2019.
The memorial day, held on January 27 each year, remembers the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust and the millions of people killed under Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
The date marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.
