It wouldn’t be our December issue without some Christmassy projects for you. Our cover quilt, Norwegian Wood, is a stylish quilt featuring one of Makower’s Christmas collections and if you are a fan of foundation piecing, you might like to make Melanie Vincent’s Skinny Christmas Trees quilt. We’ve picked some great smaller seasonal projects for you too; the Christmas Candles wall hanging just exudes warmth and who can resist the cute Redwork Snowman, while the Christmas Table Runner uses a clever technique for making the Drunkard’s Path block. Former editor, Christine Porter, tells us about the World Textile Show in America and we have an updated story on the quilt show at Ailsa Craig in Canada, which had British involvement this year. We meet Messy Jesse and as it’s school holiday time, we have another four-page Kids Xmas Special to help keep them busy! Happy Xmas!
