T he early afternoon is a great time to get out with family or friends to have fun in the garden or head to a local park to play or watch local sports. It can be difficult tracking and focusing on fast-moving subjects such as football players, and even children running around can be a curveball. There are two main factors that make a fast-moving subject difficult to shoot. The first is having to avoid subject blur by using a fast shutter speed to eliminate both camera shake from handholding the camera as well as subject blur from your subject moving. The other is getting an in-focus shot, as it can be tricky to focus on a moving subject. However, Canon’s latest mirrorless models have great AF point coverage and subject detection modes that help! Here are our top tips for great shots of fast-moving action.
