It’s almost impossible to keep track of US multi-instrumentalist Ty Segall. When he’s not issuing albums under his own name (seven in the last two years, including his unexpected recent set of Harry Nilsson covers under the title Segall Smeagol), he’s collaborating with all manner of West Coast artists. Now he’s reunited with The Moonhearts’ drummer Charles Moothart and Meatbodies’ bassist Chad Ubovich as psych-punk trio, Fuzz. The raw and riffy III (In The Red), recorded by Steve Albini, is a riot from top to tail, veering from garagey glam (Spit) to stoner blues (Time Collapse) and distorted, Sabbath-like jams (Close Your Eyes).
