“You’re probably the youngest two people in here,” a gentleman behind Prog explains to his son and girlfriend accompanying him, not, you’d have thought, unreasonably. And sure enough, there are the numerous grey-haired and balding heads on display that one might expect to see supporting a band who first began taking fans on their particular cosmic voyage over 50 years ago. However, that only tells half the story. On closer inspection, the age span is broader than one might have guessed, and the gender split closer, something that we’re seeing at more (although by no means all) gigs of a progressive hue, the country wide.
