Giventhe reputation of the Atari Jaguar’s standard controller, it seems almost perverse that someone looked at it and decided that the best way to improve it was to add more buttons. Yet that’s exactly what the Pro Controller did, doubling the number of main face buttons to six and adding two shoulder buttons too. Although the general shape of the Pro Controller remained broadly similar to that of the original, there were some changes to the ergonomics that improved over the previous design. The round face buttons have more depth and spring to them than before, and the updated d-pad is more comfortable over long play sessions.
