Residents of the Swiss Canton of Valais will proudly tell you the area plays host to more than 40 four-thousand-meter-high peaks. The most famous is of course the Matterhorn. It’s hard to resist an invitation to such an iconic part of the Alps and by good fortune and chance it turns out that our singletrack struggle at the foot of the legendary mountain coincides with the 150th anniversary of its first ascent.
Rockgardens? Lush, green singletrack? How about a bit of both?
