EIGHT DAYS UNTIL DEADLINE AND FIVE DAYS ‘TILL SEMA. That’s where my mind is at while writing this piece. On paper, the detailed path to editorial deadlines are neatly organized and easily assembled. However, inside the head of the editor in charge of making sure those deadlines hit can be quite the opposite. Bad weather, miscommunication and just straight up procrastination tend to make deadlines tight near the end, but with a great team and constant determination we never fail.
