ALL THE BIGGEST STORIES FROM PLANET TECH

Finest work prong

The bundled stylus snaps on to charge next to the cameras on the back. You can also add the Book Cover Keyboard –with a trackpad (£339) or without (£199).

Tiny snappy peep-holes

Taking photos with a 14.6in tablet would look absolutely absurd, but there are 13MP and 8MP snappers on the back. The twin 12MP cams on the front are likely to get a lot more use.

World leader upspend

As standard it has 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. You can up the storage to 512GB for £100 more, but you’ll only get the 16GB RAM by choosing the 1TB option (£1549).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

There is a bizarre scenario in Samsung’s collective imagination that involves its gigantic new IP68-rated Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and S Pen stylus being used to take notes underwater. Whether that’s a key selling point probably depends on whether you’re amphibious or just have a tendency to leave taps running, but it’s also a good example of how brilliantly over the top this Android slate is.

For starters there’s that 14.6in AMOLED screen, which gives you space to run up to three apps side by side, plus the Dimensity 9300+ processor that should allow you to do so without it getting its chug on. Such a pixel-packed display demands a substantial power pack, so there’s an 11,200mAh battery inside the 5.4mm chassis, and if you really want to show your credit card who’s boss it’s possible to max out the memory at 16GB and the built-in storage at 1TB.
