The golem is one of the most enduring creatures of myth and fantasy – with hundreds if not thousands of different interpretations, reimaginings, and stories about the mud monster spread throughout culture – it’s was only so long before a board game would take the theme and return to the source. While most uses of the golem in media and literature are only tangentially related – linking in to the core concepts of a collective, protective, earth-orstone robot, powered by some form of holy programming, but little else – today we’re heading back to the Golem of Prague as the spark point, for the big hit of Essen ’21, Golem.
