THERE'S NO VERBAL WAR ON ENGLAND SAYS KOHLI
In his first press conference in England this week, India captain Virat Kohli said that relations between the two teams were warmer than ever before thanks to the IPL, but any notion that this would be a friendly tour was dispelled during the first T20I at Old Trafford as India showed they are not here to be pushed around. As ever, Kohli was their driving force. Despite his warm words towards England before the series, he didn’t hold back after David Willey and Bhuvneshwar Kumar exchanged pleasantries during the final over of England’s innings when the bowler pulled out of his run-up as Willey advanced down the pitch. As the two teams walked off for the interval, Kohli wasted no time in getting involved in the verbal jousting with England’s allrounder. So much for warmer relations. Earlier, when Jason Roy was dismissed, Kohli raced towards the pitch in celebration, roaring all the way.
