Shot at a live working racetrack with a skeleton crew, Jockey isn’t your standard sports drama, and nor does Clint Bentley have a traditional path to directing and co-writing a film like this. “My dad was a jockey,” he tells Teasers. “We grew up in Florida but just followed the circuit with him whenever we weren’t in school. I didn’t think it very weird as a kid, even if I was being babysat by trainers while he was exercising horses in the morning.”
