JOHN LEHR
My guide, Rati Beula, and I departed Selinda Explorers Camp in northern Botswana at around 5:30am, with boxes full of breakfast foods and beverages so we could stay out as long as we liked. At around 7:30 we found another vehicle with three guests photographing a female leopard resting on the branch of a tree. After 20 minutes o little movement, we headed off to return to an elephant carcass we had visited the day before, but within minutes a call came that the cat was on the move. We made a hasty return and found her moving stealthily through the bush.
