A British classic, the rich and moist sponge gets its tofee flavour from the dates, and pairs perfectly with our toffee sauce recipe.
• 200g (7oz) chopped dates
• 120ml (. cup) boiling water
• 80ml (⅓ cup) soya milk
• 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
• 150g (1⅓ cups) self-raising flour
