Suunto 9

Ever step out your door, press your watch and – crestfallen – realise there isn’t enough battery to record your run. Well, with the Suunto 9, we can collectively shout, “Be gone, horrifying, first-world runner problem, be gone!”
And it will be. Because what’s most impressive about this deadfancy new Suunto timepiece is the 120 hours (five days) of GPS tracking. But it gets better. Before your run, you’re given a battery life estimate and can choose a mode (Performance, Endurance, Ultra or you can customise one) that will last as long as your planned run. Better still, if, for example, you suffer some topographical embarrassment that keeps you out longer than anticipated, a prompt offers you another chance to switch to a mode that will record all of your bimble. Huzzah!
