Avoid these writing risks
Your fingers, wrists and forearms may bear the brunt of your writing efforts, but the rest of your body can be put under strain too. There is such a thing as suffering for your art, but a whole host of aches and pains isn’t going to do anything for your writing. Here are some other things to be wary of.
Back pain
Staying in any position for an extended period of time is likely to leave you stiff and achy. Adopting the correct posture to begin with can minimise any discomfort and prevent long-term problems from developing. The key to good posture lies in the chair you choose. Select one which has a firm back and offers proper lumbar support, meaning it follows the curve of your spine and cushions your lower back. Armrests are a big plus.
