The 31st annual Bram Stoker Awards for superior achievement in horror and dark fantasy will be given as part of the StokerCon convention on board the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California on 29 April. The shortlists are: Novel:Hard Light: A Cass Neary Crime Novel, Elizabeth Hand; Mongrels, Stephen Graham Jones; The Fisherman, John Langan; Stranded: A Novel, Bracken MacLeod; Disappearance at Devil’s Rock, Paul Tremblay.
First Novel:
The Apothecary’s Curse, Barbara Barnett; Hollow House, Greg Chapman; Haven, Tom Deady; Mayan Blue, Michelle Garza and Melissa Lason; The Eighth, Stephanie Wytovich.
