There must surely be a law of physics which states, ‘the amount of time available is proportional to the number of tasks to complete minus one.’
When I was in full-time employment with a young family and large old house to maintain, I accomplished all tasks except one each day.
Now I am retired, live in a small modern house and our daughters have long flown the nest, but still cannot do all I want to do.
The one thing I never had time to do was read every item in WM. Of course I avidly read and enjoyed items I considered relevant to my writing, but skipped such as poetry-related matters.
I have now overcome this problem whilst also solving the problem of the sudden appearance of a spare tyre. I couldn’t manage more than ten minutes on the exercise bike before becoming exhausted. However I realised that it wasn’t fatigue, but boredom that was restricting my exercise, so I made a rest to sit on the handlebars and sit WM on the rest.
