Open to original work by poets living in the UK the Voices Poetry Competition is free to enter although a small donation to Nottingham’s Maggie’s Centre will be appreciated. The Centre offers practical, emotional and social support to those with cancer, their friends and family. Posthumous submissions from the family member of a poet will be considered.
The closing date for entries is 30 September and the winners will be announced on 2 November. There is a first prize of a £100 book token and two runners-up prizes of £50 book tokens. The winning poems will published on the Voices blog and shared on social media.
