Returning to the UK after living in Stockholm for two years, Jacqueline Burdett decided to move to Hertfordshire, with her son Levon, to be near her family. ‘I had lived in London for years before emigrating to Sweden, but when I decided the time was right for us to move back to England, I didn’t want to take him back to a small flat with no garden; especially as he was used to the wide, open spaces in Sweden,’ explains Jacqueline. ‘Plus, it’s got good transport links for work and my mum, Pat, was happy to help out with looking after Levon while I am at work.’
The 606 Universal shelving system, also in Levon’s room, is from Vitsoe. The teak Norwegian coffee table is from The Restoration and Jacqueline fashioned a runner from a length of vintage fabric. The metal wall art is from a selection by Habitat
