GEAR, GEAR AND MORE GEAR!
Welcome to another issue of Raider!
Over the last year we’ve been working on the Raider formula, trying to decide what works best for your favourite magazine, and one thing that constantly gets brought up is the quality of our kit reviews and how often they influence you when it comes to buying an individual item. We’ve always taken great pride in regards to our gear reviews, and we’ve had an impressive range of testers throughout our years. During the height of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan we had a range of elite soldiers from units such as the Royal Marines and USMC who we’d purposefully post gear to so they could test it in the environment it was designed for. Once the onus of the magazine started to turn a little and operational duty began to become nigh on non existent, we brought in a range of new testers, with some experts on fitness, survival and the shooting sports brought on board.
With all of that in mind, this month we’ve really pushed the boat out, doing away with a number of articles that simply weren’t providing anything to our readers, instead replacing them with even more kit reviews!
On top of our normal range of kit reviews, we’ve got an extra FIVE pages worth this month, covering two of Raider’s favourite companies and the gear they have to offer. Turn to pages 24, 26 and 43 to see what they are.
This month also sees the re introduction of Everyday Essentials, but not quite as you’ve seen it before. With the Every Day Carry market becoming such a large one, Everyday Essentials will essentially become Every Day Carry Essentials, highlighting some of the best EDC items on the market for both our UK and US readers.
All that, and more this month!

Raider

very good Reviewed 11 June 2020

Great Military Magazine

This is a great military mag, my only complaint is the amount of gear reviews, but for coverage of British and Western military, predominately European Army's this mag is the best there is. Reviewed 01 October 2018
