PRAY FOR PARIS
Through the process of putting together this months issue of Raider, there have been some very somber moments. This time of year is already made hard enough for many by the events of Remembrance Day, and usually this Foreword would be very heavily centered around the events of Remembrance Weekend. However more recent events simply cannot go ignored. As many of you know, on the evening of 13th November, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks shook Paris, killing 129 people and wounding a further 368. I personally was sat down watching the England vs Spain football match at the time, and remember shortly after the game finishing checking my phone and seeing the information come up on my News app and then following the story throughout the night. Attacks such as this simply make me feel sick to my stomach. Attacks on innocents should simply not be happening in this day and age, and it’s absolutely disgusts me that people would even think to carry out such atrocious acts of violence. Unfortunately war brings a lot of innocent bystanders into the fray, but mindless acts of violence such as these bombings just simply infuriate myself and the staff here at Raider endlessly.
Prier pou Paris, mes amis. Repose en paix, mon coeur saigne pour vous.
