‘Fact Check’ and ‘Quick Buy’ rolled out
NORTHERN has armed its conductors and revenue protection staff with a new app enabling them to check the status of over 600 selfservice ticket machines on the network. The technology, designed in partnership with Flowbird and RADD Solutions, will help defend the train operator against one of the most common excuses given by fare-evaders for travelling without a ticket, that ‘The ticket machine wasn’t working’.
