BACK IN NORFOLK: ADAM Jeffrey’s No. 4 Norfolk Pioneer visited the 10¼in gauge Wells & Walsingham Railway to help with halfterm trains. The 2-6-0 was built there in 2011 by Tony Martin (RM October 2022, p70) but was never officially part of the fleet. On its return this year, from the Astbury Light Railway project (Cheshire), it ran 16 trips totalling 131 miles, including hauling a timetabled service on the W&WLR on its own for the first time. It ran on February 12 and 17-19.
