PUTTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT (RM JUN-JUL)
■THE article on the preservation of a Class 313 (July p74) ignores the fact that the dual-voltage units were designed for the Great Northern King’s Cross/Moorgate services, and some operated on those routes for more than 40 years
Dave Mobbs, by email
■ ONE small typo in July’s Practice & Performance, on page 23 it is stated that ‘the two miles from Brandon to Claydon are level’. It is in fact Bramford, not Brandon.
John Bruford, Brentwood
■TWO references to‘Barton Underwood’ in Stockspot July should read Bartonunder-Needwood, which is the Central Rivers servicing and maintenance depot for ‘Voyager’trains in Staffordshire.

■ GWR loco No. 6024 King Edward I was incorrectly renamed King Edward VI in the caption on page 40, June issue.
