powers through Todmorden, West Yorkshire, on December 20 with the Pennine loop section of Pathfinder Railtours’ farewell ‘Finale’ tour. The train began at Salisbury ‘top-and-tailed’ by Nos. 57008 and 57314, with the ‘Western’ taking over from No. 57008 at Gloucester for the run via Birmingham New Street to Manchester Victoria then on to Lostock Hall, Blackburn, Copy Pit, and Manchester Victoria again for the return home.
