Wagon museum opened
Nene Valley Railway Wagon Group completes a key educational project, telling the story of goods traffic.

THE Nene Valley Railway Wagon Group formally opened its museum on the evening of June 2, at Peterborough Nene Valley station. Housed in banana van No. B881987, it is open on operating days and is accessible from the bay platform.
Tim Hobman, who leads the wagon group and has been working on the museum for the past three years, said: “During the first two decades of the NVR, freight stock was cared for by the original wagon group led by Norman Pannell, which disbanded in the late 1990s.
