House has own railway
AS the owner of the funicular railway and house for sale in Dawlish, Devon, you may be interested to know the length of the line is actually 108 feet, the gradient is 1-in-4, the gauge is 1ft 11½ inches. The estate agent (Headline news, January) has the length of the railway wrong.
There are five halts named after real stations (Upwey Junction, Heathfield, Burngullow, Bath Spa, and Bleadon & Uphill).
If you search my name on Google, you will see a video of my funicular railway in action. The reason for moving is to be close to my family on the Isle of Skye.

May the force be with you
I ALWAYS enjoy reading the monthly‘Practice & Performance’ articles and admire the extensive research performed for each edition, but I must take issue with the explanation of cant and cant deficiency (February) –in particular the use of the term‘centrifugal force’.
