VICTORIAN RENOVATION
POLISHED GEM
Decked out in jewel colours and flashes of gold, Sue and Matt’s precious home feels just right for an atmospheric Christmas celebration
This entire back section of the house was reworked and glazed to make the most of the view. ‘Now, the garden seems to flow into the whole house,’ says Sue.

TOP TIP
Embracing an urban look? Strip off the plaster to reveal the original brick. If the quality’s not good, try brick slips
‘I knew I wanted this kitchen, in this colour, right from the get go,’ says Sue. Style additions such as the brick wall and the canary yellow stools came later. ‘They give a kick of vibrancy that lifts the whole look,’ she adds.
