What’s everyone’s first memory of Xbox Live Arcade?
NICK
I can remember seeing news about the original Xbox version and being quite excited, because I wanted to play Mutant Storm. I didn’t actually get to try it until the Xbox 360 version though – the first game I got was Undertow as an apology for network outages.

I was quite slow getting an Xbox 360, so it was the Summer
Of Arcade 2009 and playing
Shadow Complex,
a pretty nifty Metroidvania.

I remember Shadow Complex, a great game. I must have had Xbox Live Arcade on Xbox as I was online all the time, but I can’t remember. What I do remember is that it was somewhat mad to be able to play the likes of Robotron: 2084, Super Sprint and Pac-Man on the service, even if some versions were better than others. Did anyone else enjoy any of the retro classics on Live Arcade?
