The globe-trotting tactical stealth games of theHitmanfranchise have given popular culture one of its most iconic protagonists, the bald-headed, barcode-stamped assassin known as Agent 47. Danish publisher IO Interactive has released every mainstream title in the series, from the 2000 debut Codename 47 to its latest release, Hitman III, in 2021.
Rewarding players for executing assassinations that appear to be accidents, with added points for remaining unseen altogether, the Hitman games are revered for their atmospheric gameplay and challenging puzzle-solving elements.
