Editor’s Letter
Ihope you find this issue as inspiring as I do! From amethyst (one of my favorites) to agatized corals, I’m ready to get collecting.
Perhaps nearest and dearest to my heart in this issue is the story about pollinators and rocks. I have extensive gardens around my house that have been created with wildlife and pollinators in mind. Every year my gardens teem with bats (they are pollinators too) flying overhead in the early evenings to bees, wasps, butterflies and moths visiting my flowers as they bloom in their respective seasons. Over the years, I have noted Anita Stone’s observation that the bees will sleep at night in the flowers and leaves.
