The 2020 European Rowing Championships held on Lake Malta in Poznan in October brought to an end a 14-month racing drought for Europe’s senior international rowers.
Coming 404 days after the conclusion of the 2019 season last summer in Linz, it offers a fascinating, albeit fleeting, glimpse under the bonnet of Europe’s international field; as teams emerge from lockdown before hunkering down for winter training, less than 300 days before the rescheduled Games in Tokyo.
